DNC

Yesterday at the DNC the seven women senators stood as the people saluted them.

Can someone explain this to me?  Why do we acknowledge and salute women for being, um, women?  Hurrah for that double-x chromosome, an aspect of your existence over which you have absolutely no control!  You certainly didn't determine your gender, but three cheers anyway, just for being female!

Oh, here's something funny - Dennis Prager was broadcasting his radio show from the DNC yesterday, interviewing and talking to passersby.  One woman wore a button that proclaimed, "It's a man's world, unless women vote."  Mr. Prager commented, "You think women should vote?!  You're a radical!"
