I came home Sunday night after a long day to a surprise. Nathan and Andrew had spent the afternoon adding holiday cheer to the front yard, and by the time I got home around 9 pm, their work was finished and the front of the house was twinkling.
The two of them had discovered garlands with white lights in the basement and the garage, left here by the previous owners.
I had recently commented that I love to see trees with bare branches clothed in twinkle lights at this time of year. Andrew remembered my affinity for the look and spent several hours making our own deciduous tree twinkle!
Now the outside of our house is almost as festive as the inside.
{We have icicle lights we'd like to put up on the house itself, but I don't know if we'll actually have time for that this year!}
Lovely, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish we could be there for Christmas! I'd love to see your home in person and hear your concerts. Even more, though, I'd love to spend time with you guys (and to see first hand our pregnant 2nd daughter!). But hurray for photos and the internet. Thanks for posting them!
