3 Year Old Conducts Beethoven
This video has been going around amongst my friends on facebook, and I finally found the time to watch it this morning. Too cute! But more than just cute, this little boy has a real expressivity about him that belies both his familiarity with the work and the pure joy he takes in the music. You can tell he's watched this work being conducted many, many times, and internalized the dynamics, the cues, the tempo changes, etc. In short, I'm impressed!

That is AMAZING. He was spot on in those cues - you could practically see the flutes he was looking at! He had some incredibly intuitive and fluid motions (in the midst of some three-year-old craziness!) I wonder what he'll be doing in twenty years.
