How to Annoy Me
Hey receptionists of the world - working at doctors' offices and optometrists' offices and banks and everywhere else - guess what? I am not that old, but many of you are still younger than I am. That and the fact that you don't know me means that you shouldn't be calling me "honey" or "hon." And definitely not "sweetie." Are we clear on this? Okay, thanks.

heh heh! Come down south. Everyone calls you hon, honey, or sweetie regardless of your (or their) age or gender.
ReplyDeleteHehe, I was going to say the same thing. My sister has adapted this and now calls everyone honey or sweetie no matter how old she (or sometimes he) is. I had to remind her last week in Philly that Yankees don't do that.

That's right... Only string teachers can call their students "sweetie." :)
