Thanksgiving. Yes, Really.

While all the bloggers in the world are blogging about Christmas, I'm keeping people on their toes and blogging about... Thanksgiving!  Because pregnancy and sickness and the busy month of December aside, it was a good Thanksgiving, and it deserves to be blogged.

We went to California!  It was a long plane ride.

We managed.

It was the first time my parents had seen Nell in over a year.  I think we all enjoyed making the most of the time together.

Playing with Grandma and Grandpa a lot still left some time for Nell's current favorite kind of personal "reading," the kind involving books with no pictures, intended for people twenty times her age.  {No, we don't understand it, either.}

And Nell had her first taste of chocolate pie!

Nathan got to use the wood shop at my parents' new house, and made me a new kitchen utensil.

Nell got some quality time with Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Jenny, as well as Grandma and Grandpa.

A blurry phone picture can still capture a good bit of sentiment, and sometimes it's all you have on hand, you know?

And there was food, of course.  Lots of good food.

And there you have it.

From the blogger you can always  -- usually -- okay, sometimes -- count on to document the important things in life, even if it's about a month late.
